Throughout my adult life I’ve been involved in politics at both national and local level — first as a disenchanted liberal in various conservative contexts, then as a satirist in the Green Party, and now as an editorial writer, columnist and podcaster, with an audience of tens of thousands of listeners and viewers per month.
